NISKAYUNA- Christopher “Chris” Abrams, 64 passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Chris was born in Bay Shore, NY, to Philip and Barbara Abrams on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1953. Chris was a graduate of St. John’s University in 1976. He worked as a Pharmacist for over 40 years, and retired from Rite Aid in Cohoes, NY. In 1982, Chris married the love of his life, Maureen. They were married for 36 years, and together they raised two children. Chris will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of music, and compassion for family, friends, and patients. His passion in life was his family.

Chris is predeceased by his father, Philip Abrams, and his in-laws, Maureen and Jerry Gurican.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen, his two children, Phil (Christina) Abrams, and Carolyn Abrams, his siblings, Mary (Robert) Geras, Margaret Abrams, Peter (Marianne) Abrams, and Barbara (John) Buscemi, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, 1803 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12309, on Wednesday, March 28 at 10:00am.
