Waheem Ahkee Patton affectionately known by his family and friends in his youthful years as (Butchie) departed this life March 11, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. Waheem was born on November 28, 1961 to the late Herbert Patton and Pattie Laws. He was the youngest of six children. Waheem was educated in the Albany Public School System where he made many lifelong friends. Waheem was Loved by all who knew him. He was a hard worker!!! He worked for Frieihofer's Bakery Corporation for 14 1/2 years. Some years later, he became a bus driver for Durham Bus Company and worked a evening job at Owens Reality Service. His hard work and dedication to Life didn't stop there, he often ran small home base businesses that became a blessing to many. This is who we Celebrate on today the Life and the Legacy of Waheem Ahkee Patton. The Man who Loved Music, The Man who filled his Life with Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding. The man who Loved to Study and Read.
The Man with a Message to All.....
He Leaves to Cherish his memory two sisters Addie Oliver of Albany, NY and Betty(Jimmy) McKenzie of Albany, NY. Two brothers Cedric (Michelle) Laws and Mustafaa Sidest Mahadio and Family in Brooklyn, NY.
He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and two very Special Lifelong Friends Ralick Polk and Rodney Brigman.
In addition to his parents he was predecease in death by his sister Elnora(Ni) Patton, one niece Dorothy (Dottie) Jones and nephew Cedric Laws Jr.
A Celebration of Life service will take place on Wednesday March 21, 2018 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205
Visitation 9am-11am with a Celebration Service starting at 11am Officiant: Rev. Kimberly C. Hall.
Interment: Albany Rural Cemetery
