Averill Park-Marilyn Kalamejski, 73, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, March 5, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 5, 1944 in Albany, the daughter of the late Stanley and Celia Garawecki Rupinski. Marilyn is a graduate of Cardinal McCloskey Memorial High School. She retired after 20 years of “helping to wake the neighborhood up” every morning at the Jiff-E-Mart, working her way up to Manager. That was some of her best qualities throughout her life, being a Mom, taking care of everyone, and her inner strength… our warrior.

Marilyn is survived by her teenage sweet-heart and beloved husband of 54 years, Leonard Kalamejski; loving children, Cynthia Dingley (Tom), Leonard Kalamejski (Paula) and Melissa Crandall (Scott); grandchildren, Kaitlyn & Lila Kalamejski; nephews, Stephen and Joseph Rupinski (Lisa); niece, Doreen Rupinski. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Rupinski.

A memorial service for Marilyn will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Marilyn’s name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 1 Marcus Blvd. #104 Albany, NY 12205

The Family would like to extend a special Thank You to all the Doctors, Nurses, Physicians Assistants and staff for their wonderful care and concern at NYOH, Albany Memorial, Albany Medical, and St. Peters.
