Nicole was a graduate of Academy of The Holy Names. She was a faith formation instructor, lector and greeter at St. Mary’s Crescent in Waterford. Her love of animals was shown through her business, Pet’s Best Friend and by volunteering with her boys at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. She was also an active volunteer at the ACS HopeClub . Nicole’s true passion and focus in life were her husband and three boys.
In addition to her husband and boys, Nicole is survived by her siblings, Gregory D. Browne (Tina) and Michelle Minnis (Rick), her step mother, Susan Browne, mother in law, Carol “Gertie” Batchelder (the late Mike “Geezer” Batchelder), sister in law, Michele Shahen (Jerome) and brother in law Michael Batchelder (Lori). Nicole is also survived by her uncle Marty Browne and her aunt Tina Grant as well as her nieces and nephews, GM2 Alexander Minnis USN, Josh Minnis, Grace Minnis, Brent Bauerschmidt, Ashley Browne, John Shahen and Will Shahen.
The family would like to thank her lifelong friend Ann Marie Lizzi for her love and support during Nicole’s illness as well as all the #NikiStrong518 supporters.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ACS HopeClub, 1 Penny Ln. Latham, NY 12110 or donations can be mailed or dropped off to any CAP COM Credit Union, where a trust is set up in her boys names.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 9:00am at St. Mary’s Crescent Church, 86 Church Hill Road, Waterford, New York 12188.
