TROY- Janet H. Rockwell, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12, 2018 surrounded by the love of her family.

Janet was born in Albany, NY on July 11, 1930 to the late Clarence and Ella Russell. She was the proud mother of one son, Robert Bahret. Janet worked as a Nurse’s Aid for the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center for over 20 years. Janet will be remembered for her strong personality, and her love of cats.

Janet is predeceased by her husband, Robert G. Rockwell, and her siblings, Clarence Russell Jr., Lillian Stillwell, Robert Russell, and Mary Ackernight.

She is survived by her beloved son, Robert Bahret Sr., her grandchildren, Robert Bahret Jr., Matthew Bahret, James Bahret, Genevieve Bahret, and Melenie Bahret, her step-granddaughters, Samantha Moran, and Kayle Rost, her 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189, on Monday, February 19, 2018, from 10:00am-12:00pm, with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, NY.
