Albany- Frances E. Skorupski, 88, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 with her loving family by her side.

Fran was born in Albany, NY on February 8, 1929 to the late Nicholas and Mary Troiano.

On May 28th, 1950 Fran married the love of her life, Walter S. Skorupski. They were married for 21 years before his passing in 1971. Together they raised three children. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and of her hospitality. Her passion in life was her family.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Walter S. Skorupski, her twin sister, Rose Miller, and her brothers, Dominick Corcione, Michael Corcione, Anthony Corcione, and Daniel Corcione.


She is survived by her beloved children, Diane Segneri, Walter Skorupski, and Paula Brown, her grandson, Tyler Brown, her sisters, Mary N. Troiano, and Ann Hofmann, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.


The family would like to thank all the staff at Evergreen Commons, especially Melissa, Joan, Kim, and Tasha.

Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at All Saints Church, 16 Homestead Street, Albany, NY 12203 (next to CVS), on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 9:00am. Burial will be held at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, NY.
