Richard R. Baldasare, still young at heart, passed away on November 6, 2017 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

The son of the late Antonio and Mary (Antonunci) Baldasare, Richard was born in Schenectady, NY on August 15, in a year he didn’t want to disclose. When he was known as Rockey, he served his country in the Navy and US Army.

After his service he worked for the City of Schenectady in the water department until his retirement. He was married to Josephine DeLegge Baldasare in 1964. She predeceased him in 2011.
“Mr. B” was an avid sports fan, he rooted for the Yankees, the Jets, and the Celtics. He had many interests, including traveling around the world with his beloved daughter, fine dining, boxing, and walking his dog, Ava. Rich was a well known ladies man in his later years.

Rich was a loving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his children: Richard J. (Marlon Molina) Baldasare and Dr. Joanne C. (Patrick O’Donnell) Baldasare and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rich was predeceased by his 3 siblings.

A funeral service will be at 3 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Monday, November 13, 2017. Burial will be at a future date.
