He was born August 17, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Henry Lee Sankey Sr. and Lois Sankey.
Henry Jr. attended Troy High School and received a trade in carpentry from the Educational Opportunity Center. He enjoyed playing basketball, listening to music, watching movies and above all hanging out with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Henry Jr. is survived by his wife, Trell Sankey; two sisters: Laverne and Diane Sankey; four brothers: James Berry, Curtis, Timothy and Scottie Sankey. Also survived by one niece, four nephews a host of relatives and dear friends.
A service will held from 9 to 9:30 on Friday October 13, 2017 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY 12189. Calling hours will follow the service from 10:00- 11:00.
The burial will immediately follow at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy, NY.
