John was the owner and operator of JZ Transport for 20 years and was very proud of his business. John enjoyed many things including, golfing, trips up to Saratoga Race Course, NASCAR, & watching the New York Giants. Most of all John enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to Donna, John is also survived by her daughters, Christina Rosen (Eric) and Tricia Kidder (Brian). He is also survived by his siblings, Leonard Andersen, Melanie Skidmore (Stephen), Joyce Sousa (Bill Williams), Dorine DeLutri (James). John also leaves behind his grandchildren, Matthew, Emily and Alex as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his sister Deborah Elrod.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the entire staff, especially Ron at Albany Medical Center in the Cardiac Care Unit for their warmth and compassion given to John and the family.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A memorial service will follow the calling hours starting at 7:00pm.
