Born on July 22, 1932 in Albany, the son of the late William and Johanna DeGroat Schramm.
Jack retired after 30 years from Bethlehem Central School Bus Garage; as head mechanic and bus driver. In addition, Jack worked alongside his son, John, as Owner/Operator of John & Son Landscaping.
Jack is predeceased by his beloved wife, Jessie Edwards Schramm, his daughter, Linda Mariani; a brother and 2 sisters.
Survivors include his children, Charlotte Belak (Michael) and John Schramm, Jr. (Caterina); grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jessica and Michelle; great-grandson, Jeffrey; son in law, George Mariani, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Jack.
Funeral services for Jack will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 9:30am at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours for relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home. Burial for Jack will be held at Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mohawk & Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue Menands, New York 12204.
