Alan Schoonmaker, 64, died peacefully on August 17, 2017, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
He is the son of the late Mary (Tommell) and Robert Schoonmaker. He has two sisters Karen (Bob) Lovrin of Loudonville and Robin (Jon) King of Gaylordsville, CT, five nieces and one nephew.

Alan worked and played at Warren, Washington and Albany County ARC for most of his adult life. This was his second beloved family. So many caring people both current and retired made Alan's life the best! Special thanks to Ginny Taber and her Staff, Bernice Hopkins, Ellen Kaplowitz and Jack Dennis.

After living with Karen, Bob, Erica and Fallon for eighteen years, Alan joined another family at Living Resources, 1026 New Loudon Rd. His last six months were blessed with love and care beyond our expectations!
We are so grateful to Tex Farrugia, Tracy Kelley, Ivy Moore, RN, and the entire staff at 1026.

Relatives and friends will be received in the Chapel of St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, on Saturday, August 19th from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
