Guilderland~

Peter J. Canabush, 85, of Guilderland passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.

Peter was born June 6, 1932 to the late Peter and Teresa (Falzone) Canabush. He was a proud Korean War Veteran. For 60 years he was a self employed general contractor, that was very passionate about his work. Peter enjoyed golf and poker with his buddies, and spending time with his dear, lifelong friends. He also was an avid Yankee fan.

His greatest love was that of his family. He was always there to pitch in at all of our homes. His grandchildren and great grandchildren brought daily joy. Survivors include daughters; Jill LaRosa of Colonie and Lisa (Vincent) Quinn of Colonie, grandchildren: Brooke (Mark) LaRosa-Bardack of Niskayuna, Brian LaRosa of Colonie, Steven (Kelly) Quinn of East Greenbush, and Jason (Ashley) Quinn of Colonie. Great Grandchildren; Jacqueline, Alexander, Nicholas, Ashlyn, Cameron, Andrew, McKenzie, Taylor, and Braxton. Also his special "son" and side-kick Tony Aberman. Also survived by his sister Anna White of Loudonville, and sister-in-law Pat Canabush of Albany. Many nieces and nephews.

Peter's daughter Jill and Family, would like to thank all of the staff at NYOH for their care, compassion and friendship. Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Zen for his constant dedication and commitment. As per Peter's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Please make a donation in his memory to the charity of your choice.
