GLENMONT - Richard F. Grady, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by his niece, Pam.
Born in Springfield, Mass. on August 15, 1936 and was the son of the late George L. and Helen M. (McLoughlin) Grady. Richard served in the US Air Force as a Sentry Dog Handler at Westover AFB, Mass. He was employed and retired from CSX Railroad.
Rich was the beloved husband of the late Shirley A. (Bowen) Grady. Rich is survived by a daughter, Donna Marie and a sister, Helen (James) McCallen, sisters-in-law, Judy Grady and Jeanne Grady and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Geraldine Johnson, Robert Grady, Barbara Gernon, George Grady Jr., Patricia Rivet, Walter Grady, James Grady, and Daniel Grady.
Richard would like to thank his special friends, Jeannie, Tootie and Pat for all their help, his special sister-in-law, Jeanne Grady and his niece, Pam Young.
A graveside committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Colonie.
