Latham- George P. Motyka, Sr., 73, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 22, 2017. George was the son of the late Peter and Carolyn Motyka.

George was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. His life was enjoying time with his family and friends, and an avid sports fan. George was an employee of NY State Tax and Finance for over 30 years.

George is survived by his children, George (Karen) Motyka, Jr., Brian (Mary Ruth) Motyka, Kari (Joseph) Matteo, Jennifer (Shawn) Maloney, Joanna (Tom) DeCarlo; 13 grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Playford; and many loving friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, on Tuesday, June 27 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on June 28 at 10:00. Interment will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, at 12:00 pm.
