Colonie- Robert E. Johnson, 61, died peacefully next to his loving wife, after a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Albany, he is predeceased by his father Joseph and mother Irene. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Frances; his brother Daniel (Joan) Johnson; his father-in-law Forrest K. Holmes; his brothers-in-law Forrest (Lynda) Holmes, Steven (Howard) Holmes and Bryan (Barbara) Holmes. He is also survived by his niece Heather (Chris) Culnan, nephew Daniel Johnson and great nephew Logan Culnan, as well as many extended family members and friends.
There will be a celebration of his life at 9:30am on Saturday, June 3rd at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville, NY 12211. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
Fran would like to send a special thank you to all of our colleagues at St. Peter’s O.R. for their support and caring during this time. Fran would also like to thank the oncology team at St. Peter’s for all of their compassion shown to Bob over the years. All of the staff treated us so well. Thank you for the home hospice care and the strength given to me by their staff. We are fortunate to be loved by so many people.
In lieu of flowers, memory donations may be made in Robert’s name to Old Friends at Cabin Creek, 483 Sandhill Rd., Greenfield Center, NY 12833.
