John F. Storrow, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, with his loving family by his side.

John was born and raised in Staten Island and was the son of the late John F. Storrow, Sr. and Jane (Storrow) Biancomano.

John was employed as a longshoreman prior to his sales career in various companies before transitioning into Law Enforcement with NYS. He was a Sergeant with the Narcotic Control Commission, until the commission closed, when he accepted a position with NYS Capitol Police, and transferred to become a NYS Trooper until he retired in 1998. During his retirement he became a private investigator and was a life member of the NRA.

John was a communicant of St. Madeleine Sophie Church for many years.

He enjoyed fitness and going to the gym.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his daughter, Marialaina Storrow, his first wife, Janet Wittich and his siblings; Robert Storrow and Ronald Biancomano.

John is survived by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Gilma Storrow; he is the proud father of; Linda Storrow, John (Kim) Storrow III and Craig (Lori) Storrow and the adored grandfather of; Anthony, Gianna, Sofia and Maria; he is also survived by a niece, Betty Jane (Robert) Ranelli, and a nephew, Robert (Becky) Storrow.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Thursday April 20, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Madeleine Sophie, 3500 Carmen Road, Schenectady, NY 12303, at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow the Mass at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY.
